Homeless Beagles and Felines Abound at Animal Shelter

HUGHESVILLE, Md. (July 15, 2010)—The Tri-County Animal Shelter is overrun with adult cats (one year old and up). Adopt an adult cat during the “Cool Cats For Summer” campaign and the adoption fee will be waived. All other adoption requirements apply.

Many of the cats at the shelter are a victim of circumstance—their owners had to move, they were no longer allowed to have pets, or simply could no longer afford another animal to feed.

“Cool Cats For Summer” campaign runs July 3 through August 31.

The animal shelter is also having a “Beagle Bonanza.” Adopt a Beagle during the month of July and the adoption fee will be waived.

The Tri-County Animal Shelter is located at 6707 Animal Shelter Road in Hughesville. The shelter staff can be reached at 301-932-1713 or 1-800-903-1992. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday 12pm - 5pm and Saturday 10am – 3pm.
