St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 8, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office on Friday released the following incident and arrest report.

Carla Rachelle Dyson, 21 of Lexington Park.FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 6, Corporal J. Kirkner responded to a residence on Wheeler Road in Lexington Park for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival Cpl. Kirkner made contact with the victim who reported he and Carla Rachelle Dyson, 21 of Lexington Park, were involved in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical confrontation when Dyson attempted to grab a steak knife. The victim attempted to restrain Dyson, but Dyson was able to free herself and grab the knife. Dyson then chased the victim throughout the residence attempting to stab him with the knife. The victim was able to flee Dyson's attack. Dyson eventually gave up the chase and put the knife down prior to Cpl. Kirkner's arrival. The assault was witnessed by other individuals inside of the residence. Dyson was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault.
