LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 5, 2010)—A 17-year-old student from Leonardtown High School was sent to St. Mary's County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries on Monday morning after being rear-ended by a school bus in the Leonardtown vicinity. There were no reported injuries from the driver or the 24 students aboard the school bus. The accident happened at approximately 7:42 a.m.

Police determined the youth was operating a Silver 2005 Toyota Corolla and attempting to merge into southbound traffic on Point Lookout Road from Newtowne Neck Road (MD Route 243).
