St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 28, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

VIOLATION OF A PEACE ORDER: On April 27, Cpl. J. Somerville responded to a residence of Oakley Road in Avenue for a report of a violation of a peace order. Investigation revealed Jackie Lynn Ryon Adkins, 60 of Leonardtown, was served on February 26 with a peace order, which is currently still in effect, prohibiting Adkins from contacting the petitioner of the order by any means. On April 27 Adkins twice attempted to contact the petitioner by telephone. Adkins was charged with violating the conditions of a peace order.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On April 27, Cpl. P. Handy was conducting a patrol check at the end of South Coral Drive near Salamula Drive in Lexington Park when he encountered Albert Oliver Gilgore, 3rd, 22 of Patuxent River, sitting on a bench under a pavilion. As Cpl. Handy approached Gilgore Cpl. Handy could smell an odor of burnt marijuana. Further investigation revealed Gilgore was in possession of suspect marijuana and a smoking device used to ingest controlled dangerous substances. Gilgore was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (suspected marijuana) and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
