St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 21, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On April 20, DFC Timothy Reese responded to J.C. Penney in California for a theft. DFC Reese learned Mary J. L. Fulks, 18, of Lusby, was observed by store staff attempting to leave the business with unpaid merchandise totaling $54.00. Fulks was charged on a criminal citation for theft under $100.

THEFT: On April 20, Deputy Abbie Perkins responded to McKay's Food Store in Charlotte Hall for a theft. Deputy Pekins learned Cecil M. Green, 47, of Springfield, Virginia was observed by store staff concealing food items on his person. Green was confronted and a frozen dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy were recovered. Green was arrested and a further search revealed him to be in possession of counterfeit currency and suspected Crack Cocaine. Green was charged with theft under $100, possession of counterfeit currency and possession of Crack Cocaine. He was released to the custody of the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On April 21, Deputy Cory Ellis and Deputy Michael Boyer responded to a residence in Lexington Park for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputy Ellis learned Joshua J. Yates, 20, of Lexington Park, had become involved in a disagreement with the home owner. Yates agreed to leave however, while Yates was entering a vehicle Deputy Boyer observed a bag containing suspected Marijuana fall to the ground. Yates was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana.
