Four Charged with Burning Van


CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (April 15, 2010)—Investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal have arrested four people for burning a 1992 Dodge Caravan on the evening of March 20. A joint investigation involving State Fire Marshals, Charles County Sheriff's Office, and Maryland State Police determined the four adults were responsible for setting the van on fire after an argument with the van’s owner. The incident occurred on Chapelside Court in Waldorf.

Bryan Diggs, 24, of Fort Washington; William Griffin, 36, of Fort Washington; Pierre Wilson, 23, of no fixed address; and Stephanie Wilson, 24, of no fixed address, are charged with 2nd Degree Arson, 2nd Degree Malicious Burning, Malicious Destruction of Property over $500 and Willful Motor Vehicle Damaging without Owners Consent. If found guilty of all charges, they could be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 24 ½ years, fines not to exceed thirty three thousand dollars or both.

Griffin and both Wilsons are being held in the Charles County Detention Center.
