LA PLATA, Md. (March 24, 2010) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest report.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On March 22 at approximately 0022 hours, Trooper W. Scarlett was on routine patrol on southbound Route 5, north of Billingsley Road when he observed a blue Ford Escape which did not have working tag lights. Trooper Scarlett stopped the vehicle, made contact with the driver, Brittany Danielle Girona, 21, of Mechanicsville, and her passenger Brittany Renee Salazar, 20, of Waldorf, when he smelled an odor of marijuana. Girona and Salazar were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
