Cheaspeake Beach Man Charged with Arson


CALVERT COUNTY, Md. (March 11, 2010) Deputy State Fire Marshals arrested a Chesapeake Beach man for setting fire to his parents home located at 3307 Cox Road. Jeremy W. Perfitt, age 21, who lived with his parents, was taken into custody on March 10 at the site of the burned home without incident. Reportedly, Perfitt set fire to the house after arguing with his parents.

Perfitt is charged with 1st Degree Arson. If he is found guilty of this felony he could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years imprisonment, fined not more than $50,000. or both.
