St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 10, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 8, deputies responded to a residence Thompson Orchard Lane in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Gary Lawrence Greinert, Jr., 29, of Lexington Park, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Greinert kicked the victim in the leg. Greinert was arrested for second degree assault.

PEEPING TOM: In February 2010, detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) conducted an investigation into complaints of a subject peering into windows of residences during the night time hours in Helen. On March 8, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Helen was arrested by Det. Cpl. D. Alexander, charged with two counts of Criminal Trespassing and two counts of Illegal Visual Surveillance with Prurient Intent. Additional charges are pending upon completion of a review of the case with the States Attorney's Office.
