MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 12, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On Sunday, February 7 at 8:32 pm, TFC C. M. Evans and Tpr. S. Casarella responded to the 27000 block of Ben Oaks Drive in Mechanicsville for the reported Burglar Alarm. Upon arrival, TFC Evans observed the front door partially open while Tpr. Casarella walked around to the patio area and observed the patio door partially open. The female respondent arrived on the scene and advised a 42" Samsung television was stolen. The estimated cost of the television is $800.00. The investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, February 8 at 10:00 am, Richard Henry Plummer, 44, of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on a Bench Warrant (T3-14312) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 4. The original charges were Driving without a License and Driving While Suspended. Mr. Plummer was taken into custody at his residence in Lexington Park and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, February 8 at 5:33 pm, Kimberly Latonya Dericotte, 47, of no fixed address, was served an Arrest Warrant (T3-12675) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on February 2. The original charge was Driving without a License. Ms. Dericotte was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center and was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, February 8 at 9:32 pm, Melvin Aloysius Wathen 3rd, 30, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Cpl. J. L. Linger for Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Wathen was parked at the Chaptico Market and a routine MVA check revealed the tags were suspended for insurance purposes. A NCIC check revealed Mr. Wathen had an outstanding warrant through St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Wathen was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Wathen was in possession of a small baggie of Marijuana and a hand rolled Marijuana cigarette. Mr. Wathen was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, February 8 at 10:05 pm, Paul Kenneth Plymire, 25, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. J. C. Hardesty on a Bench Warrant (T3-14276) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 13. The original charge was Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Plymire was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY UNDER $1,000: On Tuesday, February 9 at 11:39 am, TFC J. R. Stern responded to the area on Three Notch Road and Shady Mile in California for the reported damage to a motor vehicle. Contact was made with the male complainant, 30, of Jackson, FL who advised unknown male approached his vehicle while stopped at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Shady Mile Road. The unknown male subject shattered his passenger side window with his elbow. The male suspect then fled north bound on Three Notch Road. The estimated loss is $100.00 and the investigation continues.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Tuesday, February 9 at 6:59 pm, Darla Suzanne Breeden, 51, and Mary Sue Ellen Breeden, 28, both of California, were arrested by Cpl. J. L. Linger for Assault 2nd Degree. Cpl J. L. Linger responded to the 22000 block of Lacey's Lane in California for the reported disturbance inside a residence. Once on the scene, Cpl. Linger made contact with the male complainant who advised his wife and daughter were involved in a verbal argument which turned into a physical confrontation and the police were called. After interviewing both parties it was determined that both Mary and Darla were each aggressor in this case. They were both taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 10 at 1:30 pm, Sara Elizabeth Davis, 18, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by TFC J. A. Pilkerton on a Bench Warrant (T3-14314) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 26. The original charge was Disorderly Conduct. Ms. Davis was taken into custody at a residence in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1,000: On Thursday, February 11 at 3:51 pm, Keith Randall Nelson, 35, of Avenue and John Robert McCollum, Jr., 40 of Hollywood were arrested by TFC D. S. Brill for Theft under $1,000.00 from the Target Store in California. TFC Brill responded to the Target Store at 45155 First Colony Way in California for the reported Theft in progress. Upon his arrival, he was met by the Loss Prevention Officer from the store who advised two male suspects entered the store and stole an Expedition Watch valued at $39.99 and two wireless routers for an X-box 360 game system valued at $199.98. The suspects left in a white car heading south towards the Best Buy. TFC L. Nims and TFC E. M. Evans were in the area and observed the vehicle in the parking lot in the area of the Game Stop. The subjects were taken into custody and positively identified by the Loss Prevention Officer. They were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
