MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 01, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT UNDER $1,000, DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, January 26 at 7:25 pm, TFC C. M. Evans and Tpr. S. Casarella responded to the Walmart Store in California for the reported Theft in Progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with the Loss Prevention Officer who had detained the suspect, Wendy Jo Wilcox, 33, of Lexington Park. He advised he observed Ms. Wilcox take the key to the perfume case, unlock it and remove a box of women's Eternity perfume and place it in her purse. He also observed her place numerous makeup products in her purse. She was observed paying for some other items and then she passed through the sensors by the exit door and the sensors activated. The Loss Prevention Officer stopped Ms. Wilcox and located in her possession several items which were not paid for. Items found in her possession which were not paid for included five CD's/DVD's totaling $63.00 and several makeup products totaling $79.00. She was taken into custody and placed under arrest for Theft under $1,000.00. A search incident to the arrest revealed Ms. Wilcox was also in possession of a prescription pill bottle containing four Dexroamphepamine 20 mg. pills, 20 ½ Alprazolam 1mg. pills, two Clonazepam 2mg. pills, three Vyvanse 70 mg pills, five Vyvanse 50mg. pills, five Clonazepam 1mg. pills and eight Clonazepam 1mg. pills. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100, DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, January 27 at 3:50 pm, Tpr. M. J. Pitcher and Tpr S. Casarella responded to the Walmart Store in California for the reported Theft in Progress. Upon arrival, Tpr. Pitcher made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer who observed Cecelia Marshall, 45, of Lexington Park, steal numerous items from the store without paying. Ms. Marshall was detained in the Loss Prevention office and was found to have in her possession two articles of clothing, a necklace, two deodorant sticks, soap bar and a Revlon extra curl curler. Total value of all items found in her possession was $44.80. Ms. Marshall was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, January 28 at 9:33 pm, Marcus Darnell Courtney, 18, of Leonardtown, Antwan Cory Montgomery, 18, of Hollywood, and a 16-year-old male juvenile of Hollywood were arrested by TFC C. M. Evans for Possession of Marijuana. TFC Evans and Tpr. Casarella responded to the reported motor vehicle accident at south bound Three Notch Road and Old Village Road in Mechanicsville. While speaking with the subjects, TFC Evans and Tpr. Casarella detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. A partially burnt Marijuana cigarette was found in the vehicle. The juvenile was transported to the Leonardtown Barracks for processing and later released pending further action by Juvenile Services. Mr. Montgomery and Mr. Courtney were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were charged with Possession of Marijuana and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, January 29 at 8:50 am, Ray Woodrow Fannon, 55, of Lexington Park, was arrested by TFC K. D. Lashley on Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13286) issued on January 15. The original charge was DWI/DUI. Mr. Fannon was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Saturday, January 30 at 3:00 am, Timothy Wren, Jr., 20, of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson for Disorderly Conduct and Failing to Obey Lawful Order. Tpr. Gibson responded to a disturbance in the area of South Shangri La Drive and Missouri Avenue in Lexington Park. Upon arrival, Mr. Wren was acting in a disorderly manner by yelling obscenities at the officers. He was asked several times to be quiet and leave the area and refused. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, January 30 at 4:05 pm, Stacy Lynn Sboto, 33, of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page for Domestic Assault. Tpr. Page responded to the 45000 block of Jay Dee Court in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 51, of Lexington Park, advised he was involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect when she threw a cell phone which struck him in the face. She was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
