MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 30, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 4:08 pm, Melvin Sprague, 33, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson on an outstanding Circuit Court True Bill Indictment (T3-13898). The original charge was Theft Scheme over $500.00. Mr. Sprague was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was being held awaiting his court appearance.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 7:22 am, Sarah Ann Jones, 21, of California was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13911) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on April 17, 2009. The original charge was Driving without a required license. Ms. Jones was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:15 am, Willie West Burden, 48, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13913) for Failing to make deferred payment to the District Court in Leonardtown in the amount of $205.00 by July 15, 2005. Mr. Burden was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY TO MOTOR VEHICLES: On Monday, April 27, 2009 at 8:41 am, TFC R. Rezza responded to the 45000 block of Town Creek Shop Lane in California for the reported malicious destruction of property to two vehicles. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 56, of California. He advised the windshield and left front windows on a blue 1978 MG MGB 2-door convertible were broken out and the windshield, rear window and all the windows on the right side were broken out on a 1983 burgundy Jaguar XJ6 4 door sedan. The damage to the vehicles occurred between Sunday, April 26th at 10:00 pm and Monday, April 27th at 8:00 am. Estimated damage was $500.00 on the MG and $5,000.00 on the Jaguar. The investigation is ongoing.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 9:56 am, Natosha Charmaine Ball, 29, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13922) issued by the District Court in La Plata on April 23, 2009. The original charge was Theft under $100.00 from the CVS Pharmacy in White Plains on or about January 8, 2009. Ms. Ball was apprehended in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

TRESPASSING: On Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 10:42 am, Diane Lee King-Guy, 33, of Abell was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson for Trespassing. Tpr. Thompson responded to the Leonardtown Barrack in reference to a Trespassing complaint. Ms. King-Guy came to the barrack to speak with the Barrack Commander. She was advised that the Barrack Commander was not in and she would have to call later. She demanded to speak with him immediately and was asked to leave the barrack. She began raising her voice and annoying citizens in the lobby. She was ordered to leave the barrack and continued to create a disturbance. Ms. King-Guy was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 3:00 pm, Jessica Denise Lowe, 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13916) for Failing to Appearing in District Court on April 17, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Ms. Lowe turned herself in and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BURGLARY, THEFT UNDER $500: On Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 3:55 am, Tpr. J. Hardesty responded to the area of Bull Road and Knight Road in Leonardtown for a horse running loose in the roadway. Upon arrival, the horse was located in front of a residence on Bull Road. Contact was made with the owner, 47, of Heron Way in Leonardtown. The horse was returned back to the barn and the owner advised someone broke into the barn and let three horses loose. Additionally, the owner advised unknown suspect(s) stole 45 bags of mulch two days prior. Cost of the mulch was $157.05. The investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 1:00 am, Natasha Maureen Kelly, 23, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. J. Hardesty on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13923) for Failing to Follow Condition of Probation. The original charge was Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana. Ms. Kelly was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
