Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 10, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: In the early morning hours of August 8, unknown suspect(s) pulled a mailbox and a street sign for Dixon Court in Chesapeake Beach, out of the ground and threw them in the yard of a home on Bristol Drive. Damage is estimated at $100. Dep. Daniel Deakins is investigating.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: Dep. Christopher Waldron responded to a home on Bayview Drive in Lusby on August 8 for a theft report. The victim advised that someone had entered her vehicle the previous night and stolen a wallet. A victim on Laurel Way advised a black backpack was missing from his vehicle. The backpack was later found. Two victims on Abilene Trail advised Dep. Craig Johnson that their vehicles had also been entered overnight and a XM satellite portable radio valued at $250 and a security key card worth $50 had been stolen. Three of the vehicles were reported to have been unlocked at the time of the thefts, the fourth victim was unsure if her vehicle had been locked but no forced entry was observed. THEFT: A Sears log splitter valued at $600 was stolen from the woods behind a home on Hilendale Way in Prince Frederick sometime between August 1 and 9. Please contact Dep. Waldron at 410-0535-2800 if you have further information.
