MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 11, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

RETAIL THEFT: On Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 3:32 pm, Tpr. N. Gresko responded to the Blair's Video in the 30000 block of Triangle Drive in Mechanicsville for a reported theft under $500.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with male employee, 21, of Mechanicsville who advised an unknown Hispanic male, between the ages of 25 - 30, approximately 6"2, 250 - 300 lbs. entered the store between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. The suspect was wearing a white sweater, dark jean pants and was last seen opening DVD packages and removing the DVDs. The male subject stole 10 DVDs and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The investigation continues.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATE: On Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:35 am, a 46 year-old female, from Leonardtown, reported to Sgt. R. Redmond at the Leonardtown Barrack that her front Maryland registration plate had been stolen from her 2001 black Ford Mustang while parked at Leonardtown High School between the hours of 7:30 am - 10:30 am on December 8, 2008. No suspect information is available and the investigation continues.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 1:10 pm, Sheila Marie Wilkerson, 29, of Brandywine was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson for possession of prescription medications not prescribed to her and CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Wilkerson was operating a gray Lexus on Three Notch Road, in the area of Commerce Park Road in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. A routine check through MVA revealed Ms. Wilkerson's driver's license was suspended and she was placed under arrest. Ms. Wilkerson was found to be in possession of prescription medications not prescribed to her. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 7:14 pm, Joseph Steve Seward, 20, of Clements was arrested by TFC J. Stern for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Seward was operating a green Chevrolet Cavalier on Coltons Point Road, in the area of Yates Road in Clements when he was stopped for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Seward, a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath. Mr. Seward was arrested for DUI and was found to be in possession of a plastic baggie of Marijuana. Mr. Seward was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 7:10 pm, Ronald Wayne Walker, Jr., 25, of Clements was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13728) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on December 2, 2008. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Walker was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 7:50 pm, Joshua A. Taylor, 22, of Hughesville was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13737) for Failing to pay a Deferred Payment of $157.50 to the District Court in La Plata. Mr. Taylor was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, December 8, 2008 at 12:37 pm, Sara Allison Troescher, 23, of Lusby was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13415) for Violation of Probation. The warrant was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on May 23, 2008. The original charge was driving, attempting to drive a vehicle while impaired by controlled dangerous substance. Ms. Troescher was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 3:50 pm, John Raymond Williams, 44, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Koock on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13661) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 17, 2008. The original charge was Driving on Suspended and Revoked driver's license. Mr. Williams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

INDICTMENTS SERVED: On Thursday, December 4, 2008, Circuit Court Grand Jury Indictments for 1st Degree Burglary charges were issued on Glenn Charles Gray, Jr., 20, of St. Inigoes, Dawn Liv Taylor, 18, and Randy Aloysius Norris, 24, both of Hollywood. The Indictments were served by TFC K. Shughart and TFC M. Koock on December 10, 2008 at the St. Mary's Detention Center, where they were incarcerated on related charges.
