MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Nov. 20, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: On November 17, 2008 at 9:26 am Trooper First Class Roy was responding to a residence on Old Time Drive for a reported burglary. Witnesses called 911 and gave a description of a vehicle seen leaving the area. The description was broadcast to the responding units. Trooper First Class Roy observed the vehicle stopped it in the Prince Frederick Shopping Center. Travis Robert Eiza, 19, of Prince Frederick, and Timothy Daniel Button, 19, of Port Republic, were identified by a witness and were placed under arrest. Evidence linking the suspects to the scene of the crime was located in the suspect's vehicle. A search warrant at one of the suspect's homes led to the recovery of over $1,600 worth of stolen property. Both suspects were taken to the barrack for processing and later incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On November 11, 2008, at 4:35 pm, Trooper Donaldson responded to a residence on Deloris Court in Chesapeake Beach for a reported theft. Sometime between November 17th and November 18th, someone entered the victim's vehicle and stole a radar detector and boxes of cigarettes. The front registration plate was also stolen. CONCEALED WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On November 13th, 2008 at 2:30 pm, Sergeant Titus responded to Calvert Middle School for the report of a student with a weapon. Investigation revealed that an 8th grade student displayed a knife to another student in an aggressive manner while on the school bus. When the bus driver confiscated the knife, the student made verbal threats to the bus driver. The student was placed under arrest and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On November 14, 2008 at 9:22 pm, in the area of H G Trueman Road and Cove Point Road, Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. An odor of marijuana was detected within the vehicle. A search revealed that the driver possessed a bag of marijuana. Eureka Fernice Bourne, 29, of Lusby, was arrested and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing and later incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On November 19, 2008 at 3:48 pm, Trooper Donaldson responded to Smoky Road in Huntingtown for a reported theft and destruction of property. Someone stole the "No Trespassing" sign off her fence and spray painted the another sign. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410) 535-1400.
