MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 20, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

SHOPLIFTING: On 10/14/2008 at 4:49 pm, Trooper Donaldson responded the Lemon Drop clothing store located in the Fox Run Shopping Center in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that Sherrie Lynn Capone, 47, of Edgewater, had stolen numerous pieces of jewelry totaling $530 in value. Capone was arrested, processed at the state police barracks, and later incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/10/2008 at 12:52 am, Corporal Trossbach stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 260 in the area of Route 2 in Owings. An odor of marijuana was detected by the trooper. A search of the driver revealed that he had a baggie of marijuana hidden in his clothing. Jasper Bernard Ford, 21, of Waldorf, was placed under arrest. A search of the passenger revealed marijuana in her purse. Kasey Niambia Spruill, 22, of Forestville, was also placed under arrest. Both were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.

SHOPLIFTING: On 10/13/2008 at 10:45 pm, Trooper Haut was dispatched to Wal-Mart in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that James Emory Jones, 32, of Waldorf, and Heather Marie Finstad, 22, of Prince Frederick, attempted to steal a 32" television from the store. Both subjects fled the store but have been identified. Charges are pending.

SHOPLIFTING: On 10/15/2008, at 12:25 pm, Trooper Roby responded to the Wal-Mart in Prince Frederick for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Laura Nicole Hinchman, 20, of Lusby, attempted to conceal a blue tooth cellular headset and leave the store. Wal-Mart security stopped Hinchman and detained her until police arrived. Hinchman was charged with theft.

THEFT: On 10/09/08 at 2:15 pm, Trooper First Class Stein responded to a residence on Ponds Woods Road in Huntingtown for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that between 9:00 am on 10/08/2008 and 2:00 pm on 10/09/2008 two tires and wheels were stolen off of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee which was parked at the above residence. Andre BUTLER, 48, of Waldorf, Md. arrested on 10/12/08 by CPL P. Trossbach
