LA PLATA, Md. (Sept. 18, 2008) - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT/ LOADED HANDGUN RECOVERED: On Sept. 17 at 12:04 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Bumpy Oak Road in La Plata after receiving a call from a citizen who said she was following a vehicle in which a passenger was shooting at street signs. The caller provided a description of the car and indicated it was directly behind a school bus. Officers M. Beall and D. Almassy located the vehicle, initiated a traffic stop, and ordered the occupants out of the car. A BB gun was found under the rear seat of the vehicle and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun was found under the front passenger seat. An investigation revealed the suspects shot the BB gun at the street signs. Officers arrested Auvin Reginald Reeves, Jr., 19, of Waldorf and Thomas Anthony Milling, 24, of Washington, DC, and charged them with reckless endangerment and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. The driver of the car, a 22-year-old Waldorf woman, was issued a traffic citation and released.
