MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 22, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BICYCLE THEFT: On Friday, August 15, 2008 at 3:45 pm, TFC M. Moore responded to the 22000 block of Iverson Drive in Great Mills for the reported Theft over $500. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 25, of Great Mills who advised unknown suspect(s) stole his black and brown Diamond Back 24 speed mountain bike. The bicycle was valued at $750.00. Neighborhood checks were made and the investigation continues. The complainant later advised he found a Roadmaster bicycle in front of his residence and turned it over to TFC Moore. The Roadmaster bicycle is being stored at the State Police Barrack in Leonardtown pending claim by the owner.

ILLEGAL DRUGS, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On Monday, August 18, 2008 at 3:32 pm, Tervel Deon Rollins, 26, of Oxon Hill and Denise Shivon Hamlett, 27, of Clinton were arrested by F/Sgt J. McCauley for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Rollins was operating a blue Kia when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit on Route 235 at Joy Lane in Hollywood. Contact was made with the occupants from the passenger side of the vehicle and an odor of fresh Marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Rollins and Ms. Hamlett were both found to be in possession of Marijuana. A routine check through MVA revealed Mr. Rollins' driving privileges were suspended. Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, August 18, 2008 at 9:30 pm, Wayne Anthony Thomas, 21, of Leonardtown was arrested by Cpl. S. Koch on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13568) issued on August 11, 2008. The original charge was Violation of Probation / Armed Robbery. Mr. Thomas was held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center on no bond.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 5:40 pm, Thomas Lionel Wills, 31, of Callaway was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13574) for Failing to Appear in District Court on August 15, 2008. The original charge was Driving on Suspended License. Mr. Wills was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
