Calvert County Gov. Continues Storm Assessments


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (June 4, 2008) – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners released the following statement today around 11:48 p.m. in regards to serious storm damage experienced earlier today:

While the immediate threat of severe storms has passed, the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), through the Emergency Operations Center, Department of Public Works, Department of Public Safety and Department of Economic Development, will continue to assess damage from today’s severe storms and provide assistance to residents and business owners as necessary.

“The Board of County Commissioners is committed to identifying the necessary resources to help affected Calvert County citizens recover from this storm,” said Wilson Parran, BOCC president. “Our County departments will be working throughout the week with State and local agencies to address the concerns and issues our citizens are facing as a result of this violent and unusual weather system.”
