MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 13, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 5:15 pm, Salman Mohammad Nasrullah, 20, of Callaway, was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Nasrullah was operating a green Toyota Camry on Route 5 in Leonardtown when he was stopped for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, a moderate odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Nasrullah was found to be in possession of a bag of Marijuana, eight partially burnt Marijuana cigarettes and two CDS smoking devices. Mr. Nasrullah was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

SCHOOL ASSAULT: On Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 9:23 am, TFC M. Laney responded to the White Oak School on Great Mills Rd in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant who advised two 15 year old students were involved in a fight and one of the students fled from the school. Contact was made with the other student who was interviewed and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and released to his mother at the school. The 2nd juvenile and his parent responded to the Leonardtown Barracks later that evening where he was also interviewed and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and released to his father. A copy of the report has been forwarded to Juvenile Services pending further action.

ASSAULT: On Friday, May 9, 2008 at 5:31 pm, Tpr. M. Pitcher responded to the 46000 block of Sell Drive in Lexington Park for the reported Assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male victim who advised he was assaulted by his wife. Tpr. M. Pitcher interviewed both the victim and the suspect, Yolanda Danette Butler, 38, of Lexington Park. Mrs. Butler was interviewed and later taken into custody where she was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with Domestic 2nd Degree Assault and detained pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 9:28 am, a 17 year old male, of Pomfret, was arrested for possession of Marijuana. The juvenile was operating a red Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 5 at Route 235 in Mechanicsville when he was stopped for speeding. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with the juvenile and a unique odor of Marijuana was emanating from within the vehicle. A clear baggie of Marijuana and a CDS smoking device were found within the vehicle. The juvenile was taken into custody and was transported to the Leonardtown Barracks. The juvenile male was charged with possession of Marijuana and possession of a CDS smoking device. He was released to the custody of his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 10:15 am, Shaun M. Cook, 20, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13391) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 2, 2008. The original charge was Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana. Mr. Cook was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:31 pm, Jeffrey Neil Shade, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Indictment (T3-13370) for Possession of Marijuana and 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine. The Indictment was issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. Mr. Shade was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:31 pm, Ricardo Antoine Edgston, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Indictment (T3-13368) for Possession of Marijuana and 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine. The Indictment was issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. Mr. Edgston was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:31 pm, Ricardo Antoine Edgston, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Indictment (T3-13367) for 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine. The Indictment was issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. Mr. Edgston was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:31 pm, Ricardo Antoine Edgston, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Indictment (T3-13369) for 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine. The Indictment was issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. Mr. Edgston was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, May 9, 2008 at 4:53 pm, Johnathan Omar Nelson, 24, of Temple Hills was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13309) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 4, 2008. The original charges are DWI/DUI and Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Nelson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
