Ches. Beach Woman Passes From Injuries Caused in Earlier Accident


CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. (Feb. 25, 2008)—An accident that occurred in the early morning of Feb. 8 in Chesapeake Beach had sent two area residents to Prince George's County Hospital. Last Thursday at 10:20 a.m., Theresa Mae Valentine, 46, of Chesapeake Beach, died from the injuries she suffered in the crash. She was the driver of the vehicle.

According to police in Calvert County, around 2:30 a.m., Valentine's 2002 Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on Old Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach when the vehicle left the roadway near E Street and struck two trees before coming to a final rest. The passenger, James Colton, 35, of Rosehaven, was ejected from the vehicle.

Police say they still don't know why the vehicle left the roadway. The crash remains under investigation by the Calvert County Crash Reconstruction Team.
