Dump Truck Rolls in Prince Frederick


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Jan. 24, 2008)—A dump truck being operated by Robert Van White, 45 of Port Republic, rolled over onto its side just after noon on Tuesday.

White told police that he was traveling westbound on Sixes Road near Grays Road in Prince Frederick when he noticed a vehicle in his lane approaching him from the opposite direction. White swerved to avoid a collision, the truck left the roadway and hit the soft shoulder, a tree and a steep embankment before turning over on it's passenger side and coming to rest.

White refused medical treatment on the scene.

The dump truck is owned by Kennedy Trucking of Brandywine.
