MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 18, 2007) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Oct. 13, 12:50 AM, TFC Keen responded to Sark Ct., Prince Frederick, for a suspicious vehicle complaint. A K-9 scan was performed on the vehicle, which produced a positive alert. Assisted by TPR Chirichella a search was conducted. A baggie of suspected marijuana and a “blunt” were recovered from the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were John Francis Dorsey, Jr., 19, from Lexington Park, and a 17-year-old male, from Lexington Park. After processing, Mr. Dorsey was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing. The juvenile was released to a parent.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Oct. 13, 12:30 AM, Wilson Rd., Prince Frederick, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, a 17-year-old female, from Huntingtown, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a search was conducted and a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana was recovered from her purse. She was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, she was released to a parent.

THEFT: On Oct. 14, between 10:30 AM and 12:15 PM, an unknown culprit stole a wallet from a shopper at the Prince Frederick Safeway. When the Victim went to cancel her credit cards, the culprit had already used a card at 2 businesses in Dunkirk. TPR Donaldson is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Oct. 14, 11:56 PM, 3rd St., North Beach, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, a 17-year-old male, from North Beach, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle’s ashtray. He was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, he was released to a parent.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Oct. 15, 11:57 PM, Ball Rd., St. Leonard, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the operator, John Gregory Hayden, Jr., 25, from Owings, TPR Chirichella detected the odor of suspected marijuana. When TPR Chirichella requested Mr. Hayden to exit the vehicle, he refused. After refusing a second time to exit the vehicle, TPR Chirichella, assisted by CPL Wilson and Deputy Mudd, CCSO, removed Mr. Hayden from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced 2 suspected marijuana “blunts” and a Percocet. Mr. Hayden was charged with possession of marijuana, Percocet, and CDS paraphernalia and resisting arrest. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

10-14-07/11:56 PM: 17-year-old male, North Beach, Md., by TPR Chirichella

10-15-07/ 5:21 PM: Jacqueline D. Kerns, 42, North Beach, Md., by TPR Bodnar
