MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 11, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

REVOKED AND SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 8:40 pm, Ronald Larue Pierce, 42, of Arlington, Virginia was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for driving on a revoked and suspended license in addition to possession of Marijuana. Mr. Pierce was operating a red Dodge caravan when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Mr. Pierce and a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A MVA check revealed Mr. Pierce's driving privilege was both revoked and suspended. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Pierce was in possession of Marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

STOLEN VEHICLE TAG: On Friday, October 5, 2007 at 12:05 am, Tpr. C. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a red Honda Accord at Village Court and FoxChase Drive for an equipment violation. A MVA check of the registration revealed the tag was reported stolen the Maryland State Police in Leonardtown. Contact was made with the driver, Joseph Leon Davis, Jr., 27, of Lexington Park. Mr. Davis was arrested for possession of stolen property. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Davis was in possession of Cocaine. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 6:44 pm, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a brown Honda Accord for expired registration. As TFC Linger approached the vehicle, he observed a plastic bag of marijuana in plain view in the vehicle. Charles Tyrone Brown, Jr., 18 of Brandywine; Jamar Tyrone Johnson, 18, of Temple Hills and Tiera Lavonne Ramsey, 18, of Fort Washington were arrested for possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. All three subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond hearing.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 6:13 am, Richard Brian Diehl, 27, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13083). The original charge was for Fleeing and Eluding. Mr. Diehl was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was being held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, Glenn Thomas Ragle, 48, was extradited back to Maryland. At 12:00 am, Mr. Ragle was served an Arrest Warrant (T3-12895) by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for Third Degree Sex Offense and Indecent Exposure. He is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending his court appearance.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 4:45 am, Delvin Dewayne Hestle, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T313074) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 2, 2007. The original charge was driving without a license. He was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On October 10, 2007 at 2:00 pm, William Joseph Trainor, Sr., 60, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC L. Nims on a Circuit Court True Bill Indictment (T3-13067) for Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Mr. Trainor was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was incarcerated on unrelated charges.
