St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On 05/19/07 Deputy Zorana Sipos responded to a residence in the California area of St Mary's County for a reported assault. Deputy Sipos' investigation revealed that Katie Lauren Wathen (Age 24 of California) had assaulted her boyfriend of five years after a disagreement. Wathen was arrested for Domestic Assault.

On 05/20/07 Deputy Eric Walker responded to a residence in the California area of St. Mary's County after a 911 call was received advising that an assault was taking place. Once on the scene Deputy Walker's investigation revealed that Charles Bryan Jones (Age 43 of California) had assaulted his sister and made threats with a knife. Jones was arrested and charged with assault.

On 05/19/07 Deputy Shaun Carberry responded to a residence in the Lexington Park area of St. Mary's County for a reported trespassing. Once on the scene Deputy Carberry observed Daven Ambrose Williams (Age 22 with no fixed address) leaving the area of the complaint's residence. Williams was identified by witnesses as being the person beating on the windows and doors of the complaint's residence. Williams had also been served with a Notice not to Trespass for the complaint's property prior to this date. Williams was arrested and charged with Trespassing.

On 05/20/07 Deputy Eric Walker responded to Elm's Beach for disorderly subjects refusing to leave the park at closing time. Once on the scene Deputy Walker made contact with Tracy Lee Beach (Age 35 of Lexington Park). Deputy Walker observed a small plastic baggie containing marijuana extending from Beach's front pocket. Beach was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On 05/20/07 Deputy Jason Graves stopped to check the welfare of a man slumped over in the driver's seat of a vehicle. After the man identified as Damon Emory Garner (Age 29 of Indian Head) exited the vehicle Deputy Graves observed a knife sticking out of Garner's front pocket. The weapon was recovered and it was discovered that Suspect Garner had a baggie of marijuana. Garner was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On 05/19/07 Deputy Edward Evans was arresting the operator of a vehicle in the Leonardtown area for Driving While Intoxicated. During this process the passenger Erin Elizabeth Fairgrieve (Age 18 of Leonardtown) began to interfere with the arrest. Investigation revealed that Fairgrieve was intoxicated and only eighteen years of age. After several more warnings to stop interfering Fairgrieve was arrested and charged with Hindering and Obstructing. She was also issued an Alcohol Citation for consuming alcohol under the age of 21.

The following suspects were charged with passing a Bad Check:

Michelle Lee Norvell (Age 37 of Mechanicsville) $40.00-Deputy James Fontana.

Amy Jean Rhodes (Age 33 of Lexington Park) More than $18.00-Deputy John Logalbo.

Diana Deborah Rivera (Age 31 of St. Inigoes) Over $284.00-Deputy Kevin Meyer.

Cheri Lee Farrell (Age 30 of Ridge) Over $54.00-Deputy Shawn Carberry.

Joshua Allen Martin (Age 28 of St. Inigoes) Over $80.00-Deputy Timothy Butler.

Kevin Robert Grasso (Age 23 of California, Md.) Over $278.00-Deputy William Rishel.

Martin Lester Young (Age 45 of Ridge) Over $83.00-Deputy Michael Worrey.

The following were charged with Criminal Offenses through a Criminal Summons:

Joseph Rodney Holt (Age 31 of Charlotte Hall) Violation of a Protective Order. Deputy Shaun Carberry found that the suspect had been ordered to abide by rules set forth by the Court and he failed to do so.

Brandon James Smith (Age 18 of Callaway) Traffic Violations-Deputy Michael Peacher.

Shane Adam Corcoran (Age 19 of Mechanicsville) Assault Second Degree. Suspect Corcoran was involved in a verbal dispute and struck two (2) individuals at a party. It was investigated Deputy Sarah Lacey and the Summons was served by Deputy James Stone.

Eric Antonio Brooks Jr. (Age 19 of California, Md.) Assault Second Degree. Suspect Brooks assaulted the victim during a visitation exchange. Deputy William Rishel.

Vernell Theresa Jefferson (Age 42 of Lexington Park) Assault Second Degree. The suspect assaulted the victim during a verbal dispute. Deputy Kevin Meyer.

Tamara Salome Byrd (Age 26 of Lexington Park) Assault Second Degree. Suspect Byrd grabbed the pregnant victim by the throat during a verbal dispute. Deputy John Logalbo.

The following suspects were arrested for outstanding warrants:

Travis Jamar Mills (Age 18 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Ronald Maloy for an open Grand Jury Indictment. The investigation was conducted by the Narcotics Unit of BCI. The charges were Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute.

Gary Ignatius Branson (Age 21 of Chaptico, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Ronald Maloy for Rape-Second Degree. The investigation was conducted by the Criminal Unit of BCI.

Sheldon Sebastian Donaldson (Age 21 of No Fixed Address) was arrested on an open Calvert County warrant. The warrant was related to two (2) counts of theft. Deputy Margaret Smolarsky was the arresting Deputy.

Julie Marie Barclay (Age 21 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy David Corcoran on an open Calvert County warrant for Assault Second Degree.

Duane Cornelius Mason (Age 19 of Lexington Park) and Donte Vincent Gross (Age 20 of Lexington Park) were both arrested by Deputy Jaime Reithmeyer. The arrests were related to a Grand Jury Indictment for Armed Robbery. That investigation was conducted by the Criminal Unit of BCI.

Loria Jean Bramble (Age 42 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested by Deputy David Goff for Tampering with an Electric Meter and Theft of SMECO services.

Lamont Eugene Spicer (Age 43 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Zorana Sipos for Failure to Pay Fine.

Joshua Leonard Combs (Age 25 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Margaret Smolarsky for Assault Second Degree.

Robert James Hudson Jr. (Age 36 of Leonardtown) was arrested by Deputy Angela Muller for Failure to Appear.

Jacob Brian Flanary (Age 30 of Lexington Park) was arrested for Failure to Pay Child Support. A search incident to arrest revealed a quantity of marijuana. Deputy David Cowan was the arresting Deputy.

Jawon Nathaniel Berry (Age 19 of Great Mills) was arrested by Deputy Sarah Lacey for Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Assault. The investigation was conducted by the Criminal Unit of BCI.

Douglas Ray Fenwick (Age 22 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Sarah Lacey for two (2) counts of Assault Second Degree.

Garrett Dewayne Butler (Age 27 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Randall Wood for Failure to Pay Child Support.

Kimberly Mary Ellen Smith (Age 27 of Accokeek, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Jaime Reithmeyer for Failure to Appear.

Zachary Alan Kiger (Age 18 of Ridge) was arrested by Deputy John Logalbo for two (2) counts of Violation of Probation.

Irving Michael Lowdermilk (Age 53 of Hollywood, Md) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Deputy David Corcoran.

Francis DeSales Bell Jr. (Age 41 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Charles Dodson for Assault-First Degree and a variety of other offenses.

The following suspects were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated:

Ryan Matthew Berg (Age 20 of Scotland, Md.) Multiple offender and related to an accident. Deputy Michael Worrey.

Jamie Lee Bean (Age 21 of Hollywood, Md.) Accident related. Deputy Somar Clark.

James Elliott Blair (Age 23 of Washington D.C.) Deputy Somar Clark.

Alexander Stephen De La Paz (Age 18 of Leonardtown) Deputy Edwards Evans.

William Jerome Higgs 2nd (Age 29 of Avenue, Md.)

Robert Todd Edmonds (Age 35 of Lexington Park) Deputy Mark Porter.

Terry James Boswell (Age 35 of Lubbock, Texas) Lt. Daniel D. Alioto.
