LA PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ARMED ROBBERY: On April 5 at 12:10 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a parking lot in the 3000 block of Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a 42-year-old Bryans Road man was robbed at gunpoint by Cecil Jerome Adams who had already fled the scene in a blue mini-van. Officers responded to Adams’ residence and found the mini-van in the driveway. Adams, 50, of Bryans Road, was found in the residence and arrested. He was charged with armed robbery and was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. Officer J. Clagett investigated.
