MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD: Between 3-7 and 3-9, an unknown culprit entered a vehicle on Fawn Ln., Prince Frederick, and removed three credit cards from a purse. The culprit then charged over $8300.00 in merchandise at businesses in Calvert, Anne Arundel, and St. Mary’s Counties. TPR Merkelson is handling the investigation.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 3-13, between 7:11 AM and 2:00 PM, an unknown culprit damaged the paint on a vehicle parked at Calvert High School. TPR Roy is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-18, 1:25 AM, Rt. 2, Solomons, TPR Laziuck stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Alaina Marie Devore, 23, of Lexington Park, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were recovered from the vehicle. Ms. Devore was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-20, 10:31 AM, Rt. 4, Owings, TPR Roy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Assisted by K-9, a scan was conducted and the dog alerted on the vehicle. A CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana was then located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was a 17-year-old male, from Chesapeake Beach. After processing, he was released to a parent.
