Theft

Dep. Richard Weems II responded to a home on Doubletree La in Lusby for a reported theft. The victim stated that her purse had been stolen from inside her unlocked vehicle overnight between 09/27 and 09/28. The purse and its' contents are worth $200.00. Weems will continue the investigation.

Destruction of Property

A victim on N. Shore Drive in Prince Frederick reported to Cpl. Darren Makrokanis on 09/30/06 that sometime overnight, unknown suspects had smashed the windshield of her vehicle. Damage is estimated at $400.00. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Makrokanis at 410-535-2800.

Destruction of Property

Dep. David Canning responded to a home on Stallion Lane in Lusby for a destruction of property call. The victim reported that unknown suspects had spray painted a window, the brick side and the shed of his home. Damage is estimated at 750.00. The vandalism appears to have occurred sometime on September 26. Canning will continue the investigation.

Tampering with Vehicle

Det. Vladimir Bortchevsky responded to Mt. Harmony Elementary School, located at 900 W. Mt. Harmony Road in Dunkirk on September 26 at 4:30 p.m. for a report of unknown suspects trying to gain entry into a vehicle. The victim reported that she had left her child locked in the vehicle while she went into the school. Moments later the child came running into the school and said that two white, slender men, 20 to 30 years old, both with facial hair, had attempted to open the locked vehicle with some type of metal instrument. They failed to gain entry. Det. Bortchevsky will continue to investigate this case.
