MSP Reports for Calvert County


POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 9-7, 4:04 PM, Broomes Is. Rd., Broomes Island, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a suspended tag. Assisted at the scene by Deputy Gregory, a K-9 scan alerted on the vehicle. A search was conducted and a CDS smoking device containing suspected cocaine residue was recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia was John Richard Elliott, 54, of Broomes Island. After processing, Mr. Elliott was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On 9-8, 5:52 PM, Rt. 2/4, St. Leonard, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Joshua Albert Guidotti, 24, of Lusby, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected heroin and CDS paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Mr. Guidotti was then charged with possession of heroin and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, Mr. Guidotti was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 9-11, 1:34 AM, Rt. 4, Dunkirk, TFC Stein stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Samantha Ryan Kidwell, 19, of St. Leonard, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was recovered. Ms. Kidwell was then charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

THEFT/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 9-12, an employee of Penn Line Services reported that an unknown culprit had forcibly entered a gated access road to the power lines off of Calvert Beach Rd., St. Leonard. Investigation revealed that the culprit had stolen a Bandit brush chipper and a hydraulic jack. Including damage to the fence, property loss is estimated at $18,725.00. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.
