To assist homeowners still without power restoration at this time, two initial distribution points for dry ice have been established as follows:
Site #1: Board of Education Division of Supporting Services facility (behind Banneker Elementary School) on MD Route 5 in Loveville. Dry ice will be available as quantities last until 10:00 PM this evening. Any remaining supplies will be distributed between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM on September 3, 2006.
Site #2: St. Mary's County Governmental Center parking lot on MD 245 in Leonardtown. Bagged dry ice will be available as quantities last between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM on September 3, 2006.
Safe Handling of Dry Ice brochures will be distributed at both locations. Additional times and locations for distribution may also be announced at a later date.
DUE TO LIMITED QUANTITIES OF DRY ICE AVAILABLE, APPROXIMATELY 7,500 POUNDS PER SITE, HOUSEHOLDS WILL BE LIMITED TO TWO 10 POUND BAGS PER HOME.
