Voluntary Evacuations for St. Mary's

A flood warning remains in effect for the county. Be advised of rising waters in coastal and flood prone areas.

Mandatory evacuations are issued for the following areas:
St. Georges Island
Breton Beach
Cornfield Harbor

Voluntary evacuations are recommended for the following areas:
Golden Beach
Trent Hall
Delebrooke Road
Army Navy Drive in Wicomico Shores
Chaptico Wharf
Medleys Neck
Hollywood Shores
Town Creek
Piney Point
St. Jeromes Neck Road
St. Marys City
Pt. Lookout Park & Causeway
Wynn Road in Ridge
Roto Beach

Leonardtown High School opened as a shelter for residents at 3:00 p.m. today. Residents should bring any personal items and medicines to the shelter. Pets are not allowed in the shelter; however, animal wardens will assist in transporting pets to the St. Marys County Fairgrounds for care.
