Two Armed Robberies in Charles County


ARMED ROBBERY: On July 28 at 1:10 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Comfort Suites located at 11765 Business Park Drive in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a male suspect entered the hotel, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene. Officer R. Leukhardt and his K9 partner checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a ski mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up covering his head, black pants and a glove on his left hand. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. McKenzie is investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY: On July 27 at 10:09 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Pilgrim Square in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old pizza delivery man, attempted to deliver a pizza to a residence when he was approached by a male suspect who brandished a handgun. The suspect stole cash and fled the scene on foot toward Smallwood Drive. Officer R. Leukhardt and his K9 partner checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a “do-rag” on his head. He may have been in a black Toyota Camary. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer N. Day is investigating.
