Lori Jennings-Harris appointed as SMC Director of Department of Aging


The Board of Commissioners for St. Mary's County announced yesterday that Ms. Lori Jennings-Harris has been appointed as Director of the Department of Aging, effective August 1, 2006.

Ms. Jennings-Harris has eighteen years of professional experience providing social services to the older adult population. She has held various positions with Cambria County, located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania since 1986; Area Agency on Aging Administrator (2001-2006), Acting Area Agency on Aging Administrator (2000-2001), Aging Care Management Supervisor 2 (1999-2000), Aging Care Management Supervisor 1 (1993-1999), Casework Supervisor 1 (1990-1993), Caseworker 1 (1988-1990), and Caseworker Trainee (1986-1987). Ms. Jennings-Harris also worked as a Medical Social Service Consultant for Home Nursing Agency in Johnstown, Pennsylvania (1990-1995).

Ms. Jennings-Harris is a Masters candidate at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and she holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Planning and Administration from Pennsylvania State University. She is a board member of the Community Action Partnership of Cambria County, Inc. and Family Services System Reform, and a member of the Cambria County Master Plan, Pennsylvania Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and Pennsylvania Council on Aging.
