MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


On Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 1:55 am, TFC P. Trossbach was requested by Sheetz management to make contact with the driver of a parked vehicle and have the music turned down. Upon contact with the driver, Henry Lee Jahn, 26, of California, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. A pat down, for weapons, was conducted prior to field sobriety tests being given. During the pat down, a brown box containing marijuana residue was located in Mr. Jahn’s pants pocket. Mr. Jahn was issued a criminal citation for Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and released from the scene. (0682005753)

On Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 9:00 am, TFC T. Quade responded to Harrison Street, Great Mills, for a reported destruction of property. Investigation revealed that several residents along the same street had property damaged. One victim had pear trees cut down. Several others had their property sprayed with orange paint. On Monday, May 29, 2006 at 6:17 pm, Tpr. K. Shughart responded to Valley Court, Lexington Park, for a reported destruction of property. The victim advised that scratches were observed on her rental vehicle while parked at the apartment complex. (0682005825)

On Monday, May 29, 2006 at 12:00 pm, TFC T. Quade responded to Locust Street, Piney Point, for a reported trespassing. Investigation revealed that Mark Richard Jones, 49, of Piney Point, had removed three “No Trespassing” signs from a pole and threw them into the victim’s yard. Mr. Jones had been served with a no trespassing notice prior to this incident. Mr. Jones was arrested and charged with Trespassing. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond hearing. (0682005766)

On Friday, June 2, 2006 at 10:55 pm, TFC L. Nims stopped a vehicle on Pleasant Lane at Skyview, Bushwood, when the occupants were observed not wearing seatbelts. Upon contact with the driver, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable cause search was conducted. Located in the glove box was a pair of brass knuckles. The passenger, Devon Artice Hall, 18, of Bushwood, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Concealed Deadly Weapon. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682006014)

On Monday, June 5, 2006 at 4:30 pm, TFC J. Linger stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 245 at St. Jones Road in Leonardtown. All occupants exited the vehicle so a consent search could be conducted. An officer safety pat down of the occupants was conducted. Located on passenger, Robert Edwin Hogan, 32, of Leonardtown, pants was a metal smoking device containing marijuana residue. Mr. Hogan was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. On Monday, June 5, 2006 at 9:19 am, Tpr. E. Evans stopped a vehicle for speeding on Pegg Road at Liberty Street in Lexington Park. Upon contact with the driver, James Gregory Lynch, 25, of Lexington Park, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable search was conducted. Located in the center console was a pair of brass knuckles. Mr. Lynch was arrested and charged with Possession of a Concealed Deadly Weapon. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682006074)

On Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 9:15 pm, TFC A. Rossignol arrested Marcus Aurelina Clark, 38, of Lexington Park, on a District Court Bench Warrant for failing to follow conditions of probation on a DUI conviction. Mr. Clark was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held on no bond. (DH58128)

On Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 10:14 pm, TFC J. Linger arrested Robert Lee Jupiter III, 23, of Chaptico, on a Circuit Court Warrant for failing to appear in court to answer to a telephone misuse charge. Mr. Jupiter was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held on no bond. (18K0600174)
