More than 270 elementary-school students from 36 tri-county elementary schools used Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s Web site to test their knowledge during the annual Southern Maryland Elementary Computer Bowl, sponsored by SMECO and the school systems in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.
This annual event features a general knowledge test for fourth- and fifth-graders. Working in teams of six, the students solved problems and answered questions on SMECO’s Computer Bowl Web site. At the conclusion of the testing, the Web site listed the results for each county and for the entire competition. The winners are listed below by team name and school.
