ACCOKEEK, MD - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) will join the Alice Ferguson Foundation, other elected officials and community activists on Saturday, April 8 in Accokeek, MD for the 18th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. Community collaboration, widespread partnerships, and concerned citizens have made this annual event the largest environmental cleanup of its kind in the region.
As a senior member of the Appropriations Committee, Congressman Hoyer has worked to secure millions in federal funds to help restore the ecological and economic health of the Potomac.
He will join thousands of volunteers throughout the Potomac River Watershed to make real and visible improvements to this treasured natural resource.
