Charles County Police Reports


RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: Sometime between 10:30 p.m. March 27 and 4 a.m. March 28, suspect(s) stole a 1996 white Plymouth Voyager minivan from a residence in the 11900 block of Halcrow Lane in Waldorf. The vehicle was recovered in the 12500 block of Duckett Town Road in Lanham, Md., at 4 a.m. March 28. It had been engulfed by flames. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. Timko is investigating.

BURGLARY ARRESTS: On March 26 at 1:10 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to an alarm at a residence in the 6100 block of Tapir Place in Waldorf. Upon arrival, officers discovered suspects had forced entry into the residence by breaking a front window. The suspects stole property from the residence and fled to a neighboring house, where they stole two lawn chairs from the front porch. Officers found the lawn chairs and the other stolen property at a small campfire close to the burglary scene. Witnesses reported seeing two men walking to the campfire with the lawn chairs during the time of the burglary. Officers located the men nearby on bicycles. They stopped the men and identified them as Eric Eugene Hennager, 35, of Oxon Hill and William Marvin Altman, 23, of Waldorf. An investigation revealed the bicycles the men were riding had been stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Red Wolf Place. The men were charged with first- and fourth-degree burglary, theft of property valued at more than $500 and destruction of property valued at less than $500. Officer J. Cooney investigated.

ARMED ROBBERY: On March 26 at 9:30 a.m., a 43-year-old Waldorf man was riding his bicycle on a trail in the 1100 block of Copley Avenue in Waldorf when three male suspects approached him and knocked him off the bicycle. The suspects brandished a knife and demanded his money. The victim told the suspects he did not have any money and they punched him several times. The suspects took the victim’s wedding ring and fled in three different directions. The suspects are described as teenagers. One of the suspects is described as a white male wearing all white clothing. The second suspect is a white male wearing all blue clothing and the third suspect is described only as a black male with a knife. The victim was injured but declined medical assistance. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer P. McDonald is investigating.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. March 21, suspect(s) forced entry into a residence in the 4000 block of Livingston Road in Indian Head through a rear entrance. Once inside, the suspects caused damage and stole property. The suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction. BURGLARY: Sometime between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 20, suspect(s) kicked open the rear door of a residence in the 6700 block of Ashland Road in Bryans Road. Once inside, the suspect(s) entered a bedroom and stole money from a jewelry box. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-743-2222. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sometime between 7:15 p.m. and 8:17 p.m., suspect(s) damaged a two-door, gray 1999 Pontiac Grand Am parked at Applebee’s, located at 3610 Crain Highway in Waldorf.
