Gun-toting Man Robs Two Teenage Boys @ Waldorf AMF Bowling


On March 10 at 11:30 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to AMF Bowling at 11920 Acton Lane in Waldorf for a report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a male suspect approached two Brandywine boys, ages 13 and 16, outside the bowling alley, brandished a handgun and told them to walk around the building. The victims complied. The suspect then told the victims to remove their jeans and shoes, demanded money and threatened to kill them. The victims gave the suspect a wallet and a cell phone. The suspect told the victims to run toward Holly Tree Lane and he walked through the woods near Homestead Place. The victims ran to Holly Tree Lane and then returned to the bowling alley and called the police.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing black sweatpants and a black fleece sweatshirt. He is about 30 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. Dodge is investigating.
