Three Theft Reports in Calvert County


THEFT: During the overnight hours of 2-23, an unknown culprit removed a Dewalt skilsaw from a vehicle parked on Broomes Island Rd., Port Republic. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.

THEFT: On 2-24, 4:50 AM, TFC Lashley responded to the Lusby FaStop for a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that Barry Steven Poynter, 52, of Lusby, was observed by a store employee removing a trash cart from the parking lot and leaving the area. TFC Lashley recovered the property and charged Mr. Poynter with theft (-$100) on a criminal citation.

THEFT/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 2-26, between midnight and 8:00 AM, an unknown culprit damaged 6 mailboxes and a vehicle parked along Loblolly Lane and Julie Court, St. Leonard. The culprit also removed a CD/DVD player from one of the vehicles. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.
