While the detectives were in the immediate area, a 911 call was dispatched for an Armed Robbery in progress at the Arbys. A BCI Detective arrived on the scene and witnessed the latter portion of the robbery. The Suspect was armed with a .25 caliber handgun. He fired one round through the ceiling of the establishment and fled the scene. The Detective gave chase. A perimeter was established and assistance was summonsed.

Additional Detectives, Patrol Officers from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, Charles County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police, Trooper 2 and K-9 Officers from both St. Mary's and Charles County Sheriff's Office, arrived on the scene. K-9 Roni and Slouber located the Suspect, who was still armed, in a thick bush area of the woods. Officers attempted to apprehend the Suspect and a struggle ensued. The K-9 was released to help subdue the Suspect. Detectives took custody of the Suspect, identified as Auntonio Ronale Banks (Age 19 of no fixed address), the loaded handgun, and more than $1,000.00 in cash.
