Numerous Thefts in Waldorf


THEFT: Sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 18, suspect(s) disabled the security system for three laptops on display at Office Depot at 3077 Waldorf Market Place in Waldorf, unlocked the lock that secured the computers to the display shelf and fled the store undetected with the laptops. The laptops included a Sony VAIO widescreen notebook, a Toshiba Satellite widescreen notebook and a Toshiba Satellite tablet computer. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. Timko is investigating.

THEFT: On Dec. 16 at 6:42 p.m., Officer J. Timko responded to JC Penny at 11130 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifter. Investigation revealed a 13-year-old Newburg boy concealed a bracelet and left the store without paying for it. A loss prevention officer detained the boy until police arrived. The boy was charged with theft less than $100 and released to his mother.

THEFT: On Dec. 12 at 3:57 p.m., Officer J. Timko responded to Toys R Us at 11055 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the theft report. Investigation revealed suspect(s) stole both tags from a 1993 white Mercury Topaz and fled the scene. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777.
