Woman Robbed at Waldorf ATM


On Dec. 14 at 8:57 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to WaWa at 11505 Berry Road in Waldorf for the report of a strong armed robbery.

Investigation revealed a 21-year-old Waldorf woman withdrew money from the ATM inside the store and a man standing behind her grabbed her and then grabbed the money. They struggled briefly but the man overpowered her and stole the money.

He fled the business in a black Ford Ranger with white lettering on the side. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Western Parkway. The woman was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He had dark military-style hair and pock marks on his face. He was wearing a blue checkered flannel shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees and black shoes. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer R. Kimble is investigating.
