St. Leonard Man Goes on Burglary Spree

On December 2, 2005 at 2:30 in the morning, Det. Joe Angle of the C.I.T. responded to a burglary in progress call at Calvert Self Storage, located at 600 Calvert Beach Road in St. Leonard.

The victim, who also resides at the rental office of the business, was awakened by a loud crashing noise and when she investigated, she discovered a suspect climbing out of the window. She yelled to the suspect but he escaped.

While there, Det. Angle heard a call for another burglary in progress at a residence on Calvert Beach Road. Dep. M. Jones responded and confirmed that an unknown suspect(s) had entered the residence and then fled.

A third burglary in progress call was then heard, reported to be at Interlude Kennels, 1025 Calvert Beach Road. A suspect was observed fleeing and then coming out of a wooded area, attempting to enter his home.

The suspect, David L. Capizzi II, 44, of St. Leonard, fit the description given by three eyewitnesses. Capizzi was arrested by Det. Angle and charged with the three burglaries.
