Charles County Sheriff's officers have new business cards that display the Charles County Crime Solvers hotline, thanks to a recent donation from Crime Solvers, the Greater Waldorf Jaycees, the Waldorf Lions Club and Beacon Printing, Inc., of Waldorf.

Crime Solvers provided the cards to the Sheriff's Office with funding assistance from the Jaycees and the Lions. Beacon Printing printed the cards - 500 for officers at the rank of sergeant and below - at cost.

"I am very grateful to Crime Solvers, the Jaycees, the Lions and Beacon Printing for providing our officers with these cards," said Charles County Sheriff Frederick E. Davis. "Crime Solvers provides an important service to our community and all of these organizations are helping us solve crimes by getting the hotline printed on our cards so the phone number is in the hands of people who could help us by calling it."

Crime Solvers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in Charles County that leads to an arrest or indictment. The phone number to contact Crime Solvers is 1-866-411-TIPS. For information about the cases the Charles County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating, visit the Sheriff's Office's Web site at www.ccso.us and click on "press releases."
