Explosive Devices Left at Doors in Waldorf


On Oct. 30 at 7:20 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 12700 block of Bar Oak Drive in Waldorf for the citizens report of suspicious activity.

Investigation revealed five white males placed an object at the door of the residence and fled on foot. Shortly thereafter there was a small explosion at the front door. Further investigation revealed three similar devices found near the lake on Oaks Drive. No one was injured.

Maryland State Fire Marshall John Tennyson is investigating.
