Seatbelt Violation Nets DWI, Drugs


On October 6 at 2:51 p.m., Dep. W. Milam was patrolling in Lusby when he observed a vehicle whose operator was not wearing a seatbelt. After initiating a traffic stop, he made contact with the driver and detected a strong odor of alcohol. A search of the vehicle, incident to arrest, revealed a smoking device containing suspected marijuana. The driver, identified as William A. Wolfe, 45, of Lusby, was subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and DWI.
