PAXRVR Awards 9 Contracts & Mods Worth Over $246M


L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace Co., Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $75,728,238 estimated value modification to a previously issued indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-00-D-0278) to exercise an option for the management and operation of the government on-site storerooms and property system for the Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force C-9 aircraft. In addition, this modification provides for component repair and overhaul, oil and hydraulic analysis and engineering and logistics support. Work will be performed at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. (17 percent); Naval Air Station (NAS), Atlanta, Ga. (17 percent); NAS Norfolk, Va. (17 percent); NAS Whidbey Island, Wash. (17 percent); NAS, JRB, Willow Grove, Pa. (17 percent); and Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C. (15 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded an estimated value $90,819,382 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, time and materials requirements contract (N00019-03-D-0010) to exercise an option for contractor logistics support for the T-45 training system. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Kingsville, Texas (53 percent) and NAS Meridian, Miss. (47 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Lockheed Martin Aircraft Center, Greenville, S.C., is being awarded a $35,415,427 not-to-exceed modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-00-D-0279) to exercise an option for aircraft depot maintenance for 19 C-9 Navy aircraft and 4 C-9 Air Force aircraft. Work will be performed in Greenville, S.C., and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. CACI Systems, Inc., Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $7,452,567 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract (N00421-01-C-0125) to increase the level of effort to support various Navy, Army, Air Force, Special Operations Forces, and other agencies command, control, computers, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance electronic systems. This modification centers largely on capability enhancements via technologically derived design solutions. Work will be performed in Chantilly, Va., (80 percent) and St. Inigoes, (20 percent) and is expected to be completed in February 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,427,749 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-04-C-0113) for long lead materials and effort associated with the production and delivery of 12 full rate production MH-60R weapon systems. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in April 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Honeywell International, Inc., Defense and Space Electronic Systems, Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a $5,243,940 firm-fixed-price contract for a Life of Type buy of 7,020 Quantum 3D/nVidia graphic processors to be used in the image processor module within the advanced mission computer for the F/A-18 E/F and E/A-18G aircraft. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif. (90 percent) and Albuquerque, N.M. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in November 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Raytheon Co., Space and Airborne Systems, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $10,649,722 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-03-C-0364) for nonrecurring engineering design and development efforts associated with engineering change proposal No. 04270510 titled “Laser Marker” for the F/A-18 Advanced Tactical Forward-Looking InfraRed (ATFLIR) pod. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed in December 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $8,418,926 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a letter contract with an estimated value of $9,500,000 for the USQ-113(V)3 system upgrade. This letter contract provides for the upgrade of up to 30 USQ-113(V)3 systems so that they can simultaneously transmit on both ARC-210 radios and will extend the frequency range. Work will be performed in Hudson, N.H. (34 percent); Lansdale, Pa. (32 percent); Morgan Hill, Calif. (31 percent); and Cedar Rapids, Iowa (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Alliant Integrated Defense Co., LLC, Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $6,197,193 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-98-C-0006) to upgrade approximately 1,973 AAR-47 (V)2 Sensors to an AAR-(V)3 configuration. This modification is for the incorporation of the Dynamic Blanking Sensor upgrade engineering change proposal to eliminate Global War on Terrorism assault and assault support aircraft from operating with degraded performance in known threat environments. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed in January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
