Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle

On 08/31/05 SDFC. E. Young located a Stolen Vehicle on Medley's Ln. in Mechanicsville. The vehicle, a 1993 Ford Aerostar Van was reported stolen in Calvert County on 08/30/05. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was notified to take possession of the vehicle. A suspect has been identified in this case and charges are pending in Calvert County.

Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

On 08/31/05 Dfc. B. Connelly responded to the area of Newtown Neck Road, Leonardtown for the report of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries. Investigation revealed the operator of a 2004 Ford Freestar was traveling North on Newtown Neck Rd. when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the southbound lane, over corrected and struck a culvert on the northbound shoulder of the roadway. The driver was transported to St. Mary's Hospital by the Leonardtown Rescue Squad with minor injuries.

Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

On 08/31/05 Dfc. B. Connelly responded to the area of Budds Creek Rd. and Delozier Ln. for the reported Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident. Investigation revealed the operator of a 1994 Toyota was Eastbound on Md. Rt. 234 when the driver lost control and exited the roadway striking a tree. The operator of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident. The driver has been identified and charges are pending.

Warrant Service

On 08/31/05 Dfc. B. Connelly located Trevis L. Butler and took him into custody after determining Mr. Butler had an outstanding warrant through the Maryland State Police for Assault First Degree, Robbery, Theft Under $500, and Assault Second Degree. Mr. Butler was released to the custody of the Maryland State Police for service of the warrant.

Property Destruction

On 08/31/05 Deputy C. Dodson responded to the area of Coronado Dr., Lexington Park for the reported Property Destruction. Investigation revealed unknown culprit(s) damaged a shed belonging to the St. Mary's county Commissioners by shooting the rear windows out with a B-B Gun and tearing roofing tiles from the roof of the shed. Damage was estimated at $500.00.
