Paul Herring and Clarence Shephard Arrested for Shoplifting in Waldorf


On Aug. 23 at 1:45 p.m., Officer J. Cooney responded to Home Depot at 12050 Jefferson Farm Place in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation revealed Paul Segmeund Herring, 38, of King George attempted to conceal a nail gun and leave the store without paying for it. Herring was detained by a loss prevention officer until Officer Cooney arrived. Herring was arrested and charged with theft less than $500 and released.

On Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m., Officer P. McDonald responded to Wal-Mart at 11930 Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation revealed Clarence Henry Shepard, 19, of Washington, D.C., concealed merchandise and left the store without paying for it. Shepard was detained by loss prevention officers until Officer McDonald arrived. Shepard was charged with theft more than $500. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
