Woman Injured Failing to Yield Right of Way


On Saturday August 27, 2005, at approximately 1212 PM, a 1998 Nissan Maxima driven by Shivangi Thakor, 21, of Great Mills was attempting to make a left hand turn from Norris Road onto North bound Chancelor's Run Road. The Nissan failed to yield the right of way, and pulled out in front of and was struck on the driver's side by a South bound 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Sharon McLaughlin, 36, of Great Mills. Mrs. Thakor was transported to PG Shock Trama Where she was listed in stable condition. Mrs. McLaughlin was transported to St. Mary's Hospital. A passenger in the 2004 Jeep, Charles Sprouse, 21, of Point Mugu California was treated and released at the scene.
